Dry weather today will turn warmer, wetter

There's at least one thing all dads around Western New York will share on this Father's Day: some dry weather with a little bit of sun.

Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 70s today under partly sunny skies around the region, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service.

A breeze of 10 to 15 mph, initially out of the west, is expected, according to forecasters.

Tonight, temperatures will dip into the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Warmer weather is on tap for Monday, with daytime highs in the lower 80s.

Forecasters predict rain for some areas Monday night into Tuesday, with more rain headed our way in the form of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday. High temperatures are expected to reach the low 80s again Tuesday.

For boaters on Lake Erie, expect waves from 1 to 3 feet today as winds out of the west come in at 5 to 15 knots.
