Gov. David A. Paterson will try to force state lawmakers Monday to approve a $1.60-per-pack increase in the state’s cigarette tax this summer while beginning to collect taxes on tobacco sales by Indian retailers.

Former two-time World Heavyweight Champion Hasim Rahman wants to put on a show for the fans tonight in the Niagara Falls Conference Center. "They want to see something special and I'm aiming to please," said the 260-pound Rahman, who will face Shannon Miller (16-4, 9 KOs) in a 10-round main event on the seven-fight card.
