Louise M. Leonard, teacher at Eden High School; Sept. 24, 1967 -- June 13, 2010

Louise M. Leonard, a teacher at Eden Central High School, died Sunday in her West Seneca home. She was 42.

Born in Buffalo, she was a 1984 graduate of West Seneca East High School and a 1989 graduate of Canisius College. Ms. Leonard earned her master's degree in education from Buffalo State College. She received a scholarship from the Society of American Military Engineers while at Canisius.

She was a teacher at Cleveland Hill High School for two years and taught earth science at Eden Central High School for the past 15 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Hailey; a son, Aaron; her father, Richard P.; and a sister, Ann L. Anderson.

Services were private.
