1. BACK TO SCHOOL

2. NATIONWIDE ATTENTION

Golfer John Daly is playing in Arkansas this week on the Nationwide Tour. Daly said only "four shots a week" separate Nationwide players from those on the PGA Tour. He then went to the bar and showed what he meant.

3. AGING BRAVE

Atlanta Braves veteran Chipper Jones is pondering retirement. Jones is considered a first-ballot lock for the Braves' Hall of Fame, unless he's up the same year as Chief Noc-A-Homa.

4. HIGH FINANCE

The Redskins reportedly are trying to figure out if they can recoup some of the bonus money they paid to holdout defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth. Haynesworth outsmarted the Skins, though: He already spent his bonus on British Petroleum stock.

5. FOR THE LONG HAUL

Former Giants wide receiver Amani Toomer will run his first marathon in New York this fall to raise money for charity. Toomer says he can handle 26 miles, as long as he doesn't have to go over the middle.
