Miranda Cosgrove, the precocious pint-sized band manager in "School of Rock," was only 10 years old then. Turning 17 later this week, she's the star of Nickelodeon's hit series, "iCarly," and she's becoming a full-fledged teen idol. She released her debut solo album, "Sparks Fly," a couple of weeks ago and is about to star in a movie. Currently on a personal appearance tour, she came to the Boulevard Mall in Amherst at 3 p.m. today for a one-hour question-and-answer session with fans, sponsored by radio station Z-101 FM. Check out video and a photo gallery from the appearance.
Another teen star passed through Western New York recently when singer Justin Bieber performed on April 15 for the winners of the annual KISS 98.5 School Spirit contest. Read about Bieber's visit and see a photo gallery.
