It's not too late to see Pearl Jam with Band of Horses tonight at HSBC Arena. Tickets, including some in the 100 level, are still available.
They called it "the Seattle sound" at first, but soon it became known as "grunge." Grunge ultimately had a low survival rate, but as News Pop Music Critic Jeff Miers wrote a few days ago, Pearl Jam was built to last.

Pearl Jam released its album "Backspacer," in 2009. A brief run of North American tour dates is on schedule this spring before the band launches a European summer tour.
Tonight's Pearl Jam concert will be the band's first Buffalo appearance since 2003, when it played at HSBC Arena.
