Freeze watch tonight through Monday morning

This morning a light snow has been falling in Buffalo, the Town of Tonawanda and Amherst.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for southern Erie, Genesee, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Wyoming and Allegany counties for late tonight through Monday morning.

According to the Weather Service, a freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible, conditions which could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

High temperatures today will reach the mid to upper 40s across the region. Winds from 15 to 25 mph are expected from the northeast, with a 40 to 60 percent chance of precipitation.

Low temperatures tonight could dip from the lower 30s to the upper 20s.

Tomorrow's high temperatures are expected back in the mid to upper 50s.
