SPEAKER SERIES: Amanda McDonald Crowley, executive director of the nonprofit Eyebeam art and technology center in New York City, will discuss "Food in the City," at 7 p.m. tonight in the Burchfield Penney Art Center, 1300 Elmwood Ave. The talk is part of the Food and Emerging Media Speakers Series.

GOOD FRIDAY PILGRIMAGE: A three-hour pilgrimage through the streets of downtown Buffalo will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Friday beginning at North Division and Ellicott streets. The event is sponsored by the Buffalo Catholic Worker, St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and Pax Christi.

EASTER EGG HUNT: A free indoor community Easter egg hunt will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 2595 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore. All children ages 3 to 11 are invited. FAMILY FILM SERIES: The Saturday Family Film Series sponsored by the YWCA of the Tonawandas and the Riviera Theatre will present "Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Squeakquel," rated PG, at 1 p.m. Saturday; also featured will be "The Tooth Fairy" at 1 p.m. April 10. Tickets are $2. Parking is free at the Manhattan Street parking lot. A $1 raffle ticket or a nonperishable food item for the YWCA food pantry buys a chance to win a movie poster.

ANNUAL EGG HUNT: Registration for the second annual Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the center, 1201 Pine Avenue at Portage Road, Niagara Falls. The free egg hunt for children ages 5 to 12 will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday on the center's front lawn. Co-sponsors are the NACC Youth Program and State Sen. Antoine Thompson, D-Buffalo.

SPRING BUDS WALK: Pfeiffer Nature Center is holding a spring walk and program on plant life cycle stages such as first leafing, flowering and ripening of diversity of trees and shrubs, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at its location at 1974 Lillibridge Road, Portville.
