The board of First Niagara Financial Group, the parent company of First Niagara Bank, nominated Barbara S. Jeremiah for election to a three-year term as a director at the bank holding company's annual meeting. Jeremiah served as executive vice president, corporate development for Alcoa Inc. She will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Daniel W. Judge following the conclusion of First Niagara's annual meeting, scheduled for April 27.
