Balmy weather will move in just in time for the final week of Western New York skiing.
Closing day at Holiday Valley in Ellicottville is scheduled for Sunday.
The resort will operate between five to seven slopes -- weather permitting -- on limited hours from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are now $20 for adults and $10 for juniors.
"I'd say overall, it was a very good year," said Jane Eshbaugh, Holiday Valley marketing director. "We had some great, consistent weather through January and February."
Kissing Bridge in Glenwood closed March 20.
For those looking to move on to more spring-like pursuits, the National Weather Service is forecasting sunny days with highs in the mid-60s by Friday and Saturday.
