Plants that love wet locations

These are just some of the plants that suck up the water and thrive in wet parts of your property. Consult a Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP) in your area to find these and others:

*Trees: Birches (river, gray), Eastern larch, Eastern poplar, Eastern arborvitae, Oaks (swamp white, pin), Willows.

*Shrubs: Aronia (chokeberry), Dogwoods (silky, redosier), Clethra (summersweet), Fothergilla, Ninebark, Taxus (yews), most Willows, several Viburnums.

*Perennials: Astilbe, Chelone (turtlehead), Ligularia, Primula (primrose), Rodgersia, Sanguisorba.
