1. TIGER ENVY

Augusta National says Tiger Woods will give a news conference -- his first of the year -- on the Monday before the Masters.

Do you get the feeling some of the other golfers resent all the media attention Tiger is getting? John Daly says, "I've had more wives than Tiger's had girlfriends, and I can't even get Versus to return my calls."

2. DOC GOES OFF TRACK

Former major league pitcher Dwight Gooden was arrested after the car he was driving collided with another this week in New Jersey. Gooden is charged with driving under the influence of drugs and leaving the accident scene.

3. PEPPER SPRAY

Fanhouse.com notes that Dottie Pepper accused publicity-loving LPGA player Christina Kim of suffering from "Ochocinco Syndrome" after Kim's fist-pumping during last year's Solheim Cup tournament.

Kim said she resents being compared to a flamboyant NFL player. Kim made the remarks while out promoting her new book, "Just Give Me the Damn Tee."

4. UNFILTERED REX

The New York Jets will be featured in the HBO training camp series "Hard Knocks" this summer. Coach Rex Ryan, who back in February bared his chest to fans at an NHL game in Raleigh, N.C., says the HBO cameras will have full access. "We have nothing to hide," he said.

If Ryan has nothing to hide, I'm dropping HBO and picking up C-Span 4.

5. A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY

Us Weekly says that Tiger Woods once dated the country singer LeAnn Rimes. It was in 2002, when both were single.

I guess it didn't work out. Woods told his buddies that Rimes "just didn't measure up on the Stimpmeter" to other girls he was dating.
