Calling all camps!

The Buffalo News plans to run its annual directory of summer camps in the WNY area on May 7. BASEBALL: Team New Era will hold tryouts for players ages 9 to 13 on April 6 for fall and winter opportunities. For details on the fall and winter elite travel teams visit or contact New Era Park in Depew at 681-3001.

BASKETBALL: Tryouts for the PAL/ACE Showcase will be held at 7 p.m. April 1 at Niagara Falls High School. Players must have played varsity basketball this past season. Two games will be played April 6, one for freshmen and sophomores and one for juniors and seniors. Proceeds will benefit the PAL toy program. Contact Sal Constantino at 228-7916 for more information. . . . The Mark Williams Basketball Tournament is accepting teams in boys and girls divisions for grades five through 12. The cost is $150 per team with a two-game guarantee. The deadline is April 1. Contact Niagara PAL at 286-7038 to register.

FOOTBALL: The WNY Football Coaches Association will present a free coaches clinic at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Elks Club, 33 Legion Parkway, Lancaster. The featured presenter will be Zach Duval, head strength coach for the University at Buffalo football team. Call Chuck Huber at 681-7443.

RUGBY: Port Colborne flag rugby registration will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. April 8 at Port Colborne Secondary School. Flag rugby is a noncontact sport for boys and girls ages 5 to 15. Registration is $60. Contact Caleb Smith at 905-357-9233 or visit
