FASHION SHOW: The University at Buffalo's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Alliance will host Designs and Dreams: The Fashion Show at 7 p.m. today in the Atrium of the Center for the Arts on UB's North Campus in Amherst. The show will showcase pieces from Hannah Campbell, a student at UB. Tickets are $12. For information, call 645-3063. The alliance will donate 25 percent of ticket sales to Relay for Life.

LECTURE: Diebedo Francis Kere, an award-winning architect from Burkina Faso, whose practice is dedicated to sustainable architecture, will deliver the 2010 Birdair Lecture at the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning at 5:30 p.m. Friday in 301 Crosby Hall on UB's South Campus. The event is free.

GAME DINNER: The Rushford Lake Conservation Club will host a game dinner beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday at the club on County Road 49, Rushford.

BALLET: The Greater Buffalo Youth Ballet's premiere production of "Sleeping Beauty" will be performed 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Center for the Arts, North Campus of the University at Buffalo. Performing with the youth ballet dancers will be Katelyn Prominski, Maximilien Baud and Andre Vytoptov of the Pennsylvania Ballet. Tickets are $21.50 for adults and $19.50 for senior citizens and children 12 and under.

TEEN DANCE: The Alden Christian Theatre Society, 1470 Church St., will hold a dance for teens in seventh through 12th grade from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Featured deejay is Maximum Dynamix. Cost is $10, and includes a free beverage. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Alden Automotive, 13151 Broadway. Tickets will also be available at the door until sold out.

WORKSHOP: The Erie County Association of School Boards will present a workshop for prospective school board candidates from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday in Erie 1 BOCES, 355 Harlem Road, West Seneca.
