Bandits notebook: Still hurting

There was one bit of bad news on the weekly conference call for the Buffalo Bandits. Associate general manager Derek Graham said that starting goalie Ken Montour is still suffering after-effects from his concussion. Montour missed some time early in the season, returned to duty and was brilliant against Orlando, but wasn't able to play two weeks against either Toronto or Boston.

Montour will miss Saturday's game in Rochester against the Knighthawks. That means Mike Thompson will be back in goal. Thompson might have played his best games in almost two years when the Bandits won their two big games on the road two weeks ago. Angus Goodleaf will be the backup on Saturday.

By the way, the starting time for Saturday's game is an unusual 7:47 p.m. You can watch it on nll.com.
