Missouri's Kim English didn't look too bad in the two NCAA Tournament games here in Buffalo, did he? Imagine how he would have looked in St. Bonaventure brown.
English, a sophomore guard who scored 30 points in two games against Clemson and West Virginia, considered attending St. Bonaventure because of coach Mark Schmidt.
"I wanted to help establish a program and they were one of the ones I thought about,'' English said after Sunday's loss to West Virginia. "It got down to Missouri, Tennessee, and Cincinnati. St. Bonaventure was on the list but not at the top. But I really liked Coach Schmidt."
English had a rough go at it on Sunday. He scored 10 points on 4 of 12 shooting against the Mountaineers and also committed four turnovers. On Friday against Clemson, English buried 6 of 14 shots - 4 of 7 from three-point range - for 20 points in 24 minutes.
