The Buffalo law firm Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman named Glenn T. Koszka executive director and chief financial officer. Koszka, a certified public accountant, has an extensive background in accounting, taxation and law firm management. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo.

Gov. David A. Paterson appointed Paulette E. Ross, an associate with the law firm of Gibson, McAskill and Crosby, to serve a three-year term on the board of trustees of the New York Interest on Lawyer Account (IOLA). IOLA provides funding to providers of civil legal services in order to ensure effective access to the judicial system for all citizens of the state. The trustees of IOLA determine who are awarded grants and contracts, and the terms under which the awards of grants and contracts shall be made.

Reichert Inc., a Depew designer and manufacturer of instruments for the eye care profession, appointed Brett Himes executive vice president and chief financial officer. Most recently Himes was president and chief executive officer at Heartland Information Services. He is a graduate of Colorado State University, and holds an MBA from Harvard. Also, the company named Theresa Wozniak product manager for the Lane/Refraction products. Wozniak previously was senior market research analyst at Gaymar Industries. She has more than 14 years of experience in product management, market research and sales support. She is a Canisius College graduate and holds an MBA in from the University at Buffalo.

Evans Bank appointed John S. Eagleton vice president and chief commercial loan officer and Michael S. Bonito vice president and manager of consumer lending. Eagleton has more than 20 years of experience as a finance executive in credit underwriting and loan originations at various financial institutions, including Chase Manhattan Bank, Key Bank, Evans Bank, and GE Capital. He is a Canisius College graduate and holds an MBA from Duquesne University. Bonito, who will oversee the retail and mortgage loan functions, has more than 25 years of experience encompassing all aspects of mortgage lending. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Multisource Funding, a mortgage brokerage operation in which he was principal owner for 14 years. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo.

Buffalo Orthopaedic Group, an orthopaedic medical practice specializing in general orthopaedics, joint reconstruction and sports medicine, appointed Dr. Marlene P. Hassenfratz, a pain management and rehabilitation specialist, to its practice. Dr. Hassenfratz will provide non-surgical care for musculoskeletal, spine and pain conditions as well as sports-related injuries. She is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa., and completed her residency at Erie County Medical Center.
