Gonzaga-Florida State Game Analysis

Gonzaga 67, Florida State 60

How Gonzaga Won: Exemplary ball movement in the first half led to a 16-point halftime lead and Zags needed every bit of it to hold off 'Noles. Florida State pounced in the second half when Zags resorted to the dribble on the perimeter, coming up with stops and steals to work its way back into game. Bouldin, one of the nation's best free-throw shooters, made five of six from line in final 1:21.

Turning Point: Florida State had cut lead to four with 1:37 left and had Michael Snaer at the line for a pair. He missed both, and Bouldin countered by hitting both ends of a one-and-one with 1:21 to go. That was FSU's last gasp.

Player of the Game: Bouldin, a 6-5 senior guard, spent too much time on the dribble in the second half but his final numbers were solid: game-high 17 points, with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Stat of the Game: Zags won the boards, 39-26, against a Florida State team that goes 7-1, 6-9 on the front end.

Up Next: Zags await Syracuse-Vermont winner Sunday afternoon.
