The African Violet and Gesneriad Society of Western New York will present "Violets and Gesneriads in Western New York," a judged show and plant sale, this weekend at Walden Galleria. The Buffalo Area Daylily Society will host its annual "Souper Bowl" with homemade soups at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the East Aurora Senior Center, 101 King St., East Aurora. Bob Faulkner of Natural Selection Daylilies in Dayton, Ohio, is the featured speaker. Public welcome. For information, call 684-2049.

Friends of the Kenan Herb Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Taylor Theatre meeting room at the Kenan Center, 433 Locust St., Lockport. Guest speaker Geri Hens will present "Honey Bees and Our Environment." All welcome.

Hamburg House and Garden Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hamburg United Methodist Church Meeting House, 107 Main St., Hamburg. Julie McIndoo of McIndoo Farms, Arts and Flowers in Lawtons will present "Continuously Blooming Gardens." Business meeting will follow. Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Erie County Master Gardeners and Buffalo in Bloom will present one-day gardening seminars from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a choice of dates: April 17 (Allen Hall, University at Buffalo South Campus); April 24 (Cornell University Cooperative Extension, 21 S. Grove St., East Aurora); May 1 (Erie Community College North Campus, Kittinger Room, Amherst). Preregistration required.
