PET ADOPTION EVENT: The Maddies Pet Rescue Project will host Bully for You!, an adoption event to promote bully breed dogs, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium of the SPCA, 205 Ensminger Road, Town of Tonawanda. New adopters of a bully breed dog will be given a free private training session from a professional dog trainer, a Jump Start kit that includes a bag of dog food, treats, a Kong, a training DVD and a $10 coupon to the SPCA's Petique. Thompson, D-Buffalo, will host a community ceremony in honor of Women's History Month from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, in the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society, 25 Nottingham Court.
