Diplomacy 101

West Virginia coach Bob Huggins, vocal early in the week about receiving a low No. 2 seed, refrained from lambasting the Selection Committee during Thursday's new conference. Instead, in an un-Huggins-like assessment, he subtly made his feeling known.

"The committee has a hard job," Huggins said. "I fully realize that. I've been doing this long enough to know what a hard job they do have. I was a little surprised that we weren't a higher 2. But I'm sure there's seasons. I'm not sure what they are, but I'm sure there are reasons."
