Tyler Relph, who played his final year at St. Bonaventure under then first-year coach Mark Schmidt in 2007-08, will return as the Bonnies' director of player personnel and managers. Relph's responsibilities will include practice and game film breakdown, assisting with on-campus recruiting, and supervising player classroom and workout schedules. The Rochester native averaged 11.9 points and 3.9 assists in his senior season and led the nation in free throw percentage (.938).



Freshman Samantha Good of Canisius was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week and freshman teammate Allyson Severyn (Lancaster) was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week. Good averaged 4.00 kills and 1.88 blocks per set in two Canisius road victories. Severyn averaged 6.0 digs in the wins at Saint Peter's and Manhattan.



Junior goalkeeper Nicole Markert of St. Bonaventure was named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the week after she registered a pair of shutouts over the weekend as the Bonnies opened conference play with a pair of victories for the first time.



Buffalo State freshman linebacker Eddie Weiser (Grand Island) was named New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Rookie of the Week after he notched 12 tackles, including four solo stops and 3.5 tackles for losses in a 37-26 win over Western Connecticut State.
