Fahringer will deliver first 'Condon' lecture
Herald Price Fahringer, once one of Buffalo's top criminal lawyers and now one of the nation's renowned appellate attorneys, will give the first of the Bar Association of Erie County's "John W. Condon" lectures.
Fahringer, 80, will speak to trial lawyers and prosecutors about "The Art of Persuasion" at 1:30 p.m. today in the ceremonial courtroom of Old Erie County Hall, 92 Franklin St, as part of a two-day seminar for lawyers.
A founding member of what is now the law firm of Lipsitz, Green, Scime, Cambria LLP, Fahringer now is head of his own New York City firm. He was one of the lawyers representing Hustler magazine Publisher Larry Flynt when Flynt was shot and paralyzed outside a Georgia courthouse in 1978.
The lecture series was created to honor Condon, one of Western New York's top criminal defense lawyers, who died along with his wife, Joan, when another driver hit their car last October.
