>Man killed, another hurt in East Side shooting
One man was killed and another injured in a shooting just before 1:20 a.m. Sunday at Bailey Avenue and Wecker Street, two blocks south of Delavan Avenue.
Charles Henderson, 27, of Guilford Street was pronounced dead at the scene. Jermmel Walker, 27, of Buffalo, was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
No arrests have been made.
Police, who are seeking clues in the case, urge witnesses to call the Police Department's confidential tipline at 847-2255.
>Hamburg man dies after car hits tree
ELLERY -- A Hamburg man died after he lost control of his car and hit a tree in the Town of Ellery at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday.
Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies said Cameron J. Gallson, 22, was flown to Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa., but was later pronounced dead.
A passenger in the car, Angela L. Slowik, 22, also of Hamburg, was transported to WCA Hospital, Jamestown, and was treated and released.
Police said Gallson was westbound on Sinclair Drive at Route 38 and driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his car. The car reportedly then traveled up Pickard Road, Route 52, about 300 feet and struck a tree.

Philip Purdue, the North Buffalo man who was shot on two separate occasions in 1998 and again early Saturday, was in stable condition Sunday in Erie County Medical Center.
Buffalo police said Purdue, 31, of Colvin Avenue, was shot as he walked with two other men on Genesee Street near Sherman Avenue. A man approached them at about 1:30 a.m. and fired several shots. Police said he was hit in the left thigh.

A Newstead man who admitted smoking marijuana, chewing Xanex pills and drinking a beer while driving was arrested on narcotics and driving while intoxicated charges, police said Sunday.
Erie County sheriff's deputies said Joshua D. Pomeroy, 34, of Greenbush Road, was stopped on Tonawanda Creek Road in Newstead after another motorist called to report a vehicle swerving all over the road.

A woman told Buffalo police she was robbed at gunpoint over the weekend at the corner of Wilson and Sycamore streets.
The holdup occurred just after 10 p.m., when a male in his late teens or early 20s pulled a gun on the woman and took her earrings, several rings and her BlackBerry, according to police reports.
>Stabbing in confrontation sends woman to hospital
A Buffalo woman was in the hospital Sunday after being stabbed when she confronted another woman who was following her, police said.
Terrese O. Roberts, 31, of Langfield Drive, told police she was leaving a party on Crescent Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, when she noticed someone sitting in a vehicle parked behind hers, according to police reports.
As Roberts and her boyfriend pulled away, she told police, the other vehicle followed.
Roberts and her boyfriend stopped their vehicle, then approached the vehicle following them.
As they approached, a woman got out and stabbed Roberts in her neck, back and arm with a sharp object, police said. Police said the attacker was known to Roberts, who was listed in fair condition in Erie County Medical Center.
