The office of William C. Bernhardi, Attorney at Law appointed Lynn Kwon-Dzikiy an associate attorney. Kwon-Dzikiy, a University at Buffalo graduate, received her law degree from the UB School of Law. William C. Bernhardi has offices in Buffalo, Amherst, West Seneca and Olean.

Five Star Bank promoted Kimberly A. Ferrell to vice president. Ferrell has worked with the bank since 1988, beginning with the former National Bank of Geneva. She worked as deposit operations manager and loan operations manager until the consolidation in 2005 of Financial Institution's former four banks into Five Star Bank.

Summer Street Capital, a Buffalo-based private equity firm, named Ryan C. Martin senior associate and Daniel Lee analyst. Martin earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Rochester's William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration and a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College. Lee received his bachelor's in economics from Columbia University.

Five Star Bank promoted Douglas E. Switzer to assistant vice president. Switzer joined the bank as a retail lender in 2004, following 15 years of experience with Charter One Auto Finance and its predecessors. He earned a bachelor's degree from Utica State College.

New England Financial, a MetLife Company, named Mark Dalfonso and Scott Rutkowski financial representatives. Dalfonso and Rutkowski are both University at Buffalo graduates. The office is located at 300 Essjay Road, Suite 115, Williamsville.

SKM Group, a Depew-based marketing communications agency, promoted Bryan LeFauve to vice president of integrated marketing. LeFauve joined the agency in 2005 and most recently was media director and director of integrated media services. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Gannon University and a master's degree in media management from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
