Redshirt for Gronkowski?

A lower back strain has kept Arizona tight end Rob Gronkowski from taking any snaps this season and has fueled speculation that the former Williamsville North star could redshirt this season.

According to the Arizona Republic, an announcement on Gronkowski's immediate future could be forthcoming from coach Mike Stoops.
The official word on the Gronkowski's status, the newspaper said, could come
either after today's game vs. Iowa or during Stoops' Sunday press conference.

After
catching 47 passes for 672 yards and 10 touchdowns last season,
Gronkowski was named first-team All-Pac-10 and was a third-team
All-American according to the Associated Press. He was the leading candidate for the prestigious Mackey Award was is given out annually to the country's top tight end.
