TICKET TO RIDE -- Motorcyclists are invited to take a last summer trek Saturday in the second annual Bike Ride for Heart Transplant to help out heart failure and heart transplant patients locally. This year's ride is in memory of LeeAnne Orzechowski, a Lackawanna High School grad who received a heart transplant when she was 21. She died at age 23 in 2005.

The 60-mile ride, organized by Gina Nelligan of West Seneca, mother of LeeAnne's best friend, Jennifer Lind, begins at 1 p.m. at the Blue Wall Bar, 2720 Seneca St., West Seneca. It follows a route to the Milestone in Chaffee and back to the Blue Wall for food, drinks and music by Dirty Murphy. Tickets are $25. For info, call 715-4043.

JUST PEACHY -- The Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Church, Center Avenue at Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, holds a Peach Social from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

WOMAN POWER -- Women who'd like to help build a house for Habitat for Humanity are invited to an introductory meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in North Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Forest Road, Amherst. Construction skills are helpful but not necessary. For information, call the Habitat office at 204-0740.

REUNION ALERT -- The Class of 1959 from Immaculata Academy will hold its 50th reunion Sunday during the school's homecoming weekend. There will be Mass at 10 a.m., followed by a complimentary brunch in the school cafeteria. R.S.V.P. immediately to Mary at the school at 649-6161, Ext. 155.

MILITARY NOTES -- Two Western New Yorkers recently completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. They are:

Airman Justin M. McKay, son of Keith McKay of North Tonawanda. He is a 2007 graduate of North Tonawanda High School.

National Guard Airman Ryan W. May, son of Dunja Holcombe and Donald May of Niagara Falls. He is a 2008 graduate of the Niagara Falls Community Education Center.
