La dolce vita
A series of three Italian Wine & Food Pairing Dinners in conjunction with the Delaware Avenue restaurant Tempo and Georgetown Liquors has just been announced.
The first dinner, emphasizing a Southern Italian theme, will be held at 7 p.m. next Friday at Tempo. The menu will include calamari with celery and olives, pasta, lamb loin with Parmigiano polenta and a quince tartlet with tripe creme cheese. All wines will come from the Southern part of the boot and have been tasted specifically for each of the four courses. Some courses will be accompanied by two wines. Chef Paul Jenkins will preside in the kitchen.
The series will continue in October with a Central Italian themed-dinner and in November with a Northern Italian dinner.
The cost of the dinner is $130 per person, which includes tax and tip; reservations are required. Reservations for each dinner may be made by calling Stephanie Perna at Georgetown (634-9295) or Tempo (885-1594).
