Margaret M. Sullivan, editor of The Buffalo News, will speak at a luncheon meeting of Hadassah at noon Sept. 16 in Fanny's restaurant, Amherst. She will talk about being the first woman to head the newsroom at the city's only daily newspaper and will take questions about her career in journalism.

The Romulus Women's Club will have its annual membership tea from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Banchetti's by Rizzo, Amherst. Marilyn Silluzio is chairwoman of the event.

Daniel Kurtzer, former ambassador to Egypt and Israel, will the keynote speaker at the 12th annual United Jewish Fund Campaign Kick-off Dinner that will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The dinner is co-chaired by Ray and Julie Kianoff Fink and Dr. Michael and Susan Altman. Tickets are $70 each and a minimum gift of $100 to the 2010 campaign is required to attend. Variety Club Women Tent 7 will hold its monthly luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 19 in Chef's restaurant. Members will view the Heart Award video that won second place at the International Variety Convention that was held in London, England.
