JAMESTOWN -- A Florida man was released on tickets to appear in Jamestown City Court after he was allegedly driving drunk on North Main Street early Sunday, Chautauqua County sheriff's officials reported.
James W. Odell, 49, of Plantation, Fla., was stopped for speeding at about 1 a.m. He also was charged with driving while intoxicated, sheriff's officials said.

An Angola woman who allegedly drove past two stop signs and nearly collided with several vehicles was arrested Monday night on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
Lois M. Szczesniak, 51, was charged with driving while intoxicated by Deputy Ken Achtyl, who responded to a call of reckless driving at about 9:40 p.m. on Erie Road. A breath test determined her blood alcohol level was 0.08. She is scheduled to appear in Brant Town Court at a later date.
