>5 years' probation given for selling painkiller

LOCKPORT -- Shane McKay, 21, of Phillips Road, Newfane, was placed on five years' probation Tuesday for selling two oxycodone pills to a police informant March 11.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza imposed the penalty on McKay, who had pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

In another sentencing Tuesday by Sperrazza, Richard Brady Jr., 37, of Cain Road, Porter, drew three years' probation and a $1,000 fine on his guilty plea to misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He was arrested March 25 in Wilson.
