Lorin Maurer, administrator, marketer for collegiate sports, plane crash victim Dec. 28, 1978 -- Feb. 12, 2009

Lorin Maurer, of Princeton, N.J., died Feb. 12 in the crash of Continental Flight 3407 in Clarence Center. She was 30.

She was en route to Buffalo to attend the wedding of her boyfriend's brother when the plane crashed.

Born in Reading, Pa., she was a 1997 graduate of Wilson High School, West Lawn, Pa., and a 2001 graduate of Rowan University, Glassboro, N.J., where she earned a bachelor's degree in health and exercise science. She also earned a master's degree in sports administration from the University of Florida in 2002.

Ms. Maurer held several assignments in collegiate sports, performing marketing and administrative services for the NCAA and the Mountain West Conference. She was recently employed at Princeton University as the Friends Group Manager since 2005.

She is survived by her parents, Scott and Theresa Maurer; a brother, Christopher; her maternal grandmother, Barbara Lubas; and her boyfriend, Kevin Kuwik.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Feb. 21 in St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, West Lawn, Pa.
