>Alert issued for driver of rig from Grimsby, Ont.

LEWISTON -- A tractor-trailer driver for a Canadian floral company who crossed the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge on Saturday has not been seen since and is being considered a missing person by police.

Virgil C. Henry, 50, was driving a rig for Westbrook Floral, based in Grimsby, Ont., and had been scheduled to make several stops in New York and one in Massachusetts, police said.

"He was supposed to stay over in Syracuse on Saturday; however, he did not make it there," said Trooper Rebecca Gibbons.

The international alert was issued by Interpol in Ottawa, Ont., and passed to the state police.

Henry typically takes rural roads on his route, and there had been no problems with his driving in the past, according to police. Henry was driving a white cab and a white trailer, both of which had the company's name appearing on them.
