Fab finale Friday includes Canisius televised on the Web

It has all come down to today, especially for this year's Yale Cup season and for Canisius' grand auditorium.

Grover Cleveland hosts East at 5:30 p.m. today with the Yale Cup title on the line. The No. 7 large school Presidents (11-1), which lost to Riverside early on, can forge a tie for the Yale Cup with a win over No. 3 East (12-0).

Canisius' final game in its awesome auditorium is at 6:30, and it is a tremendous matchup against Nichols. The school is having some pregame events for alumni while the game will be televised online (go to the school's home page and click the large "watch now" graphic. The broadcast is set to begin before the 5 p.m. junior varsity game.

I'll start at Grover and then make my way to Canisius, with live updates throughout the evening.

This is the last day of the regular season in basketball. The Section VI tournament fields and schedules will be determined Saturday -- I'll be at the seedings meetings, providing live updates for the Prep Talk blog. We'll have the complete schedules posted as soon as possible.
