Connor Rehbaum saved his best for last Wednesday night.
Rehbaum made a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left in overtime to lift St. Joe's to a 92-90 upset win over host Nichols in Monsignor Martin Association action.
Nichols, the No. 2 ranked large school in Western New York, came into the game unbeaten in league play this season.
Rehbaum, who finished with 18 points, capped a Marauders' comeback from six points down in overtime. Matt Dyrek scored a career-high 18 points for St. Joe's (13-10, 7-6) on 10-of-13 shooting from the field. Todd Wojciechowski scored 17. Evan King added 10 points and grabbed 18 rebounds.
"It's a great win against a great basketball team. We were able to make a few shots at the end, and we haven't shot the ball well this year, so it was nice to see some go in," St. Joe's coach Mark Simon said.
Nichols (21-2, 12-1) got 36 points from Will Regan while Ronald Canestro added 21.
