Damon and Morey, a Buffalo-headquartered law firm, named Gregory Zini, Heidi Brauer Ruchala, Jeffery D. Palumbo and Eric C. Naegley partners. Zini, a member of the firm's construction practice group, received bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo and a J.D. degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Brauer Ruchala, a member of the litigation department, is a graduate of UB and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Palumbo, a member of the firm's real estate department and chair of its zoning and land use practice group, earned his bachelor's degree from UB and his J.D. from Pepperdine University. Naegley, a member of the firm's general litigation department, received his bachelor's degree in political science from UB and his J.D. degree the UB School of Law.

Lougen, Valenti, Bookbinder and Weintraub, an Amherst certified public accounting firm, promoted Paul A. Kloosterman to assurance senior. Kloosterman joined the firm as a staff accountant in 2007. He obtained an accounting degree from Niagara University.

Advanced Alarm, a Town of Tonawanda security and home entertainment company, named James Sokolski sales manager. Sokolski has 12 years experience in residential and commercial security consulting.
