WNED Buffalo/Toronto, a bi-national public broadcaster, appointed Sarah Lucy Whitehouse Canadian Program Acquisition manager. Whitehouse will seek out programs and films for broadcast on WNED-TV, working out of the station's downtown Toronto office. She previously was with Corus Entertainment's The Documentary Channel.

Building Controls and Services, a Town of Tonawanda-based energy services and controls systems integrator, named Ira Nicodemus a sales engineer for its Rochester regional office. Previously with TAC, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, Nicodemus is a graduate of Genesee Community College and Clarkson University.
