>River again going green for St. Paddy's celebration
JAMESTOWN -- Jamestown's famous leprechaun once again will turn the Chadakoin River green on March 14 as the city holds its fifth annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration.
The ceremony on the Riverwalk will follow the parade, which starts at 1 p.m. in Baker Park and proceeds along Fourth Street and Main Street to Brooklyn Square.
Afternoon activities will include stagecoach rides and a coin hunt. The evening will feature a corned beef and cabbage dinner at 6:15 p.m., with Celtic entertainment to follow in the Jamestown Hotel and Conference Center, 150 W. Fourth St. For information and tickets, call 664-2477.
