3. No snow? That doesn't stop the folks in Alden. Head east Friday and Saturday for a Winterfest tug-of-war, soup cook-off and best-dressed pet contest. From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, the Polish Festival will spotlight music by the Harry Chimes Band with the Polish Heritage Dancers.
