Church rededicates organ

St. John Gualbert Church at Gualbert Avenue and Doat Street in Cheektowaga will rededicate its 1929 Kilgen organ during a special concert at 4 p.m. Feb. 15.

Roy Clare, former choirmaster and organist of Central Presbyterian Church, will be the featured guest organist. The church's original organ was recently enlarged to include a 1914 Felgemaker organ from the former Holy Name of Jesus Church on Bailey Avenue, which closed in a merger with St. John Gualbert parish.

A free will offering will be taken and a reception will follow.


Leadership Institute set

Calvary Baptist Church, 1184 Genesee St., will offer the sixth annual Calvary Leadership Institute at 5 p.m. each day, March 2 through 4.

Six classes -- prayer seminar, synoptic Gospels, Old Testament, Church and society, public speaking and this history of Christianity -- will be offered. Call Dean Conrad at 874-3856 or the church office at 895-3642 for details.


Workshop on annulments

An annulment writing workshop will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Edmund's Hall, 530 Ellicott Creek Road, Town of Tonawanda.

Bread of Life drama
