Multisorb Technologies, a West Seneca-based manufacturer of sorbent, desiccant and oxygen absorbing technologies, appointed Jeff Brown business development leader, Food and Beverage Market. Brown, previously sales manager for Paper Pak Industries, has 20 years of sales experience in the packaging industry. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Moorhead State University.

Hunt Real Estate Corp. recently named Diane Sovereign its 2008 Mortgage Loan Officer of the Year. Sovereign has been associated with the agency for more than 20 years and has been nominated for the award for the past 13 years.

Metlife named Adrienne Rothstein Grace agency sales director, registered principal at its Williamsville office. Rothstein Grace is a certified financial planner and a graduate of the University at Buffalo and the American University, College for Financial Planning.

Cattaraugus County Bank President and CEO Salvatore Marranca was nominated by the Independent Community Bankers of America for vice chairman of its 2009-2010 executive committee. ICBA's board of directors will vote on the nominations on Wednesday, March 18 during the 2009 ICBA National Convention and Techworld in Phoenix.

Niagara's Choice Federal Credit Union recently broke ground on a new 3,200 square-foot branch at 3577 Niagara Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda. The new branch will replace a smaller office located next door in Meadowbrook Plaza. The new building is expected to be completed in late spring or early summer of 2009.

New Era Cap Co., a Buffalo-based headwear manufacturer, unveiled a new partnership with the Jackie Robinson Foundation, an organization that provides four-year college scholarships, graduate school grants and extensive mentoring to academically distinguished minority students with financial need and records of leadership capacity. The company is making an investment of $250,000 to support the Foundation's scholarship and mentoring program and will commit $1 to the foundation from each cap sold during the month of February at New Era Flagship Stores and at In addition, the company will provide mentors to Foundation scholars along with internships and career placement and in-kind contributions through product donations to Jackie Robinson Foundation events.
