Feb. 5, 1978 -- The last appearance by a Buffalo Brave in the NBA All-Star Game was a great one.
Randy Smith had 27 points (11 for 14 from the field), seven rebounds and six assists in a superb 29-minute performance in Atlanta. Just for good measure, he hit shots from 30 and 40 feet at the end of quarters, and had eight points in a row down the stretch to lead the East to a 133-125 victory.
As you might expect, there wasn't much debate about the winner of the MVP award that day.
