Schumer backs Mesi, Kryzan, Stachowski in trip to Buffalo
Sen. Charles E. Schumer endorsed a slew of Democrats, including State Senate candidates Joe Mesi and William Stachowski, during a visit to Buffalo on Thursday.
"He's a fighter," Schumer said of Mesi. "We need young blood."
Schumer also endorsed Alice Kryzan, a Democrat running for Congress.
Republican Michael Ranzenhofer, Mesi's opponent in the 61st Senate race, countered with an endorsement of his own from the Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors.
"We want to continue to reinforce how important, strong, consistent leadership is necessary for Western New York and the region to move forward economically," said association president James Knight.
