Kenneth Yauch of Cheektowaga, a longtime president of the Sattler's Social Club and a volunteer Santa, died Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga, after a long battle with cancer. He was 80.
Born in Buffalo, he attended School 43. He was a former maintenance employee for Sattler's department store and later was a driver for Servotronics.
In addition to the Sattler's Social Club, he was a member of the Eagles and Elks and the Voice Club of the Niagara Frontier. He was a bingo caller for various Catholic churches and a volunteer Santa for Sattler's and the Elks Club. He also was a volunteer for the Scajaquada Little League.
His wife of 52 years, Irene Marciniak Yauch, a seamstress, died in 2000.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth M.; three daughters, Christine Bethin, Sandra Zwirecki and Pamela; and a brother, Edward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John Gualbert Catholic Church, Gualbert Avenue at Doat Street, Cheektowaga.
