The New York State Outdoor Writers Association presented two prestigious awards during its fall conference at Old Forge on Oct. 4. The Keesler Memorial Award went to Dennis Money, environmental activist best know for his Seneca Army Depot Whitetail Deer programs. Ted Dobs, Oneida Lake guide from Verona, received the Pass It On award for his founding and ongoing efforts with Future Anglers Outreach. Leo Maloney of Sherrill accepted the Hans Paller Award for outstanding, lifetime achievements as an outdoor writer.
