Former Buffalo Bills running back Thurman Thomas will be the featured speaker at Hilbert College's activities concerning National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (Oct. 20-24).


Thomas will talk at 7 p.m. on Oct. 23 in Hilbert's William E. Swan Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Call Phyllis Dewey at 926-8930.

The Monday Quarterback Club will stage its next event at HSBC Arena on Monday. The group will present its Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award to Dr. Andrew Cappuccino, a Buffalo Bills team physician. BASKETBALL: The Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club is recruiting teams for the Biddy Basketball League. Divisions are age 6-10, 11-12 and 13-14. The 10-week season begins Nov. 15, and entry fee is $100. Call 282-7181.

GOLF: The Delaware Women's Golf Club will have its season-ending dinner tonight at 5:30 at Pettibones Restaurant at Dunn Tire Park. Trophies and prizes for the season will be awarded.
