Faith-related events / Oct. 12 to Oct. 19

Following is a weekly listing of upcoming events of area faith groups held around Niagara County.


COMMUNITY DINNER: Open to the public and including a Halloween Party for children. 5 to 6:30 p.m., free. First Baptist Church of Newfane, 6047 East Ave., Newfane. Call Denise Noble at 940-8286 with questions.

SPAGHETTI DINNER: All-you-can-eat spaghetti includes two meatballs, salad, bread beverage, 5 to 7 p.m. $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and free for children under 2. St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 61 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. Proceeds will benefit mission trip to Mississippi to help rebuild areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. THE ROCK: Youths and young adults ages 13 to 24 can check out the Rock for an evening of fun, contemporary music and ministry, 7 p.m., Wheatfield Community Church, The Summit mall, 6929 Williams Road, Wheatfield.



FALL FESTIVAL AND AUCTION: Silent auction with theme baskets starts at 2 p.m.; live auction starts about 4:15 p.m.; food, beverages, pumpkin pie and pumpkin recipe contests, hayrides and other attractions will be part of the fun, 2 to 6 p.m. Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport.

ANNUAL BAZAAR: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., lunch served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1920 18th St., Niagara Falls.

SPECIAL ORGAN PROGRAM: Year of the Organ and the 130th anniversary of the consecration of the church with a special musical recital and choral evensong, 7 p.m. Free and open to the public. St. John's Episcopal Church, Main and Chestnut Streets in Youngstown.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S ANNUAL BAZAAR: Country crafts, fruits of the harvest, baked goods, antiques, theme baskets and other items will be sold, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 100 Church St., Youngstown.

CRAFTERS NEEDED: The Candy Cane Lane holiday craft show in Newfane United Methodist Church is looking for people to display and sell their work. The show will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5. Call Pat at 778-7705 for applications. All applications must be in by Nov. 1.
