JAMESTOWN -- A city man who allegedly threatened a neighbor with a knife during an argument has been jailed after being charged with menacing.

City police were called to a home on Hazzard Street at about 11:30 Wednesday morning on a report of two neighbors arguing. Officers said they found Terry Lewis, 46, of the Hazzard Street address, in possession of a Bowie knife.

Police said Lewis apparently came out of his house and allegedly made several threatening gestures at the neighbor, as well as pulling the knife. He was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing.
