>Life-threatening injuries suffered in one-vehicle crash

WHEATFIELD -- One person suffered severe, life-threatening injuries after a one-vehicle crash Monday evening on Nash Road in the town of Wheatfield, Niagara County sheriff's deputies reported.

The crash occurred just before 9:30 p.m. near 7264 Nash.

Deputies and fire officials remained at the scene late Monday. No further details were available.

TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- An autopsy has confirmed that a 3-year-old boy found Saturday at the bottom of the stairwell in his home died of a head injury, Niagara County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Bruce Roth said Monday.

The boy's mother, Danielle Adams, 22, called 911 at 12:46 p.m. Saturday and told deputies her son, Semaj Crutcher, fell down 13 stairs in an apartment complex at 6355 Robinson Road. Adams discovered the boy after leaving him unattended briefly, Roth said.

Semaj was pronounced dead at about 5 p.m. Saturday in Women & Children's Hospital, Buffalo.

An investigation is continuing.
