STREET CLEANUP: A street cleanup and peace initiative sponsored by the 100 Mighty Men Ministries will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today and next Wednesday at the William Street median between Michigan Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. ADOPT-A-THON: The CATStraveganza Adopt-a-Thon will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the SPCA's Town of Tonawanda Shelter, 205 Ensminger Road, and also at the Angola Shelter, 1439 Pontiac Road. INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE TOUR: The Industrial Heritage Committee will provide a tour of the industries and green space along the shores of the Buffalo River on Saturday. Boats depart at 12:30 p.m. from the Miss Buffalo dock at Erie Basin Marina, returning at 2:30. Cost is $13.50 for adults, $9 for children 6 to 12; children under 5 are free. BIKERS RUN: The Western New York Event Center in Clarence will host Bikers for Big Cats, a motorcycle run fundraiser to benefit Exotic Cat Rescue on Saturday. Registration begins at 11 a.m., and the 100-mile ride starts at 12:30 p.m. The after-the-ride party will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., including live entertainment, a barbecue dinner, ticket auction and prizes. Tickets for the event are $25 for drivers, $10 for passengers and $10 for nonriders for the party.
